Otto is redefining how financial advisers work. We're building the copilot for wealth managers — an AI-powered platform that automates manual work like meeting transcription, report writing, onboarding, and client communications, freeing advisers to focus on what matters most: building relationships and delivering personalised advice.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Engineer to build core product end to end as part of our lean founding team. You'll own meaningful parts of the platform, from AI pipelines to the interfaces advisers use every day.

Joining at this stage means your work has outsized impact. You'll help shape our architecture, our practices, and our culture as we scale across Europe and beyond.

This role is based in London, with flexibility to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• •Design, build, and ship features across the full stack.
• •Develop AI pipelines for document processing and agentic workflows.
• •Own quality — testing, code review, and the reliability of what you ship.
• •Shape architecture and technical decisions as we scale.

Qualifications

• •At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• •A strong full-stack engineer with experience building applications in React and Node.js.
• •Experience working with distributed systems.
• •A clear grasp of how AI is changing software development.
• •Comfortable moving between back end, front end, and devops.
• •You share our values: empathy, transparency, customer-centricity, and drive.

Preferred skills

We leverage AI heavily in our day-to-day development, but we ultimately value an engineering mindset and a considered approach. AI is a racecar that needs a skilled driver. Some of the technologies you will be working with:

• •TypeScript across the stack — React on the front end, Node.js/NestJS on the back end.
• •Cloud platforms, particularly GCP and Azure.

Desired skills

• •Extensive experience with PostgreSQL.
• •Experience building workflow and automation systems.
• •Real experience deploying AI in production — evals, LLM pipelines, document extraction.
• •Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.
